Testosterone recovery will be fine just using HCG ?
No. HCG is not sufficient on its own. During a course of steroids, natural testosterone is no longer produced. So at the end of the course, you need to take Novadex and Clomid to restart the natural production of testosterone.
HCG simulates LH while the pituitary is dormant during the course. Saturated with hormones, it suspends its signal to the testicles. Therefore HCG replaces LH during the course, keeping the leydig cells and others in the testicles active.
Therefore during the course and as need arises, we use them at the same time as pct.
Is testosterone recovery possible with Clomid alone?
Clomid acts on the pituitary, stimulating it to signal the pituitary gland that it needs LH, which then stimulates the testicles to be active (sperm generation, testosterone…).
Why use a boost of Nolvadex plus clomid ?
After the course, the natural mechanism (hypothalamus, pituitary, testicular) needs to continue and Clomid has a direct effect on this.
By contrast, it’s not as good an anti-estrogen as Nolvadex. The hypothalamus ‘looks’ for the presence of estrogen and androgens, both of which are natural suppressors of testosterone production. As such, the combination of Clomid and Nolvadex provides a direct stimulation of the full hypothalamus-pituitary-testicular axis and effectively blocks estrogens at this level, which otherwise would impinge on the boosting process.
Be aware that an estrogen rebound is always possible after the course, whence the importance of this combination.
